Before starting Port & Sea Travel, I spent years supporting senior executives, where anticipating needs, managing complex logistics, and keeping many moving parts aligned was part of everyday work. That experience shaped how I think, plan, and problem-solve, and taught me how valuable calm structure and good judgment are when details matter.
I bring that same mindset to how I plan travel for clients. My role is to help clients navigate overwhelming choices, avoid overambitious itineraries, and move past the hope that everything will simply fall into place. I ask thoughtful questions, apply judgment, and shape plans that are realistic, well-paced, and aligned with how you actually like to travel—whether that means full, active days or a slower rhythm with room to wander.
Throughout the process, I focus on clarity and follow-through. Sometimes that means simplifying. Other times it means layering in meaningful experiences where they matter most. The constant is intention: making sure every decision supports the kind of trip you want to have, and that you feel supported from the first conversation through your return home.
I’m Shawndra, and I plan travel with the same care and intention I’ve brought to every role I’ve held. I’ve always been drawn to trips that feel thoughtful rather than overpacked, where the pacing makes sense and there’s room to enjoy the experience as it unfolds. That perspective didn’t come from one destination, but from years of planning, traveling, and learning what works in real life.
Travel has long been an important part of my life, rooted in curiosity and a genuine love of discovering new places. My husband, Paul, and I have been married for more than three decades, and we’ve spent years exploring together—from big adventures to family road trips while raising our three sons. Those experiences taught me early on that the best trips aren’t about doing everything; they’re about doing the right things in a way that fits the people traveling.
If this approach resonates, the next step is simply a conversation. I offer a complimentary welcome consult to talk through your ideas and see whether working together feels like a good fit. The next step is to share a few details so I can follow up.
